Profile

My Ph.D. was focused on learning and memory, with a little bit of mouse genetics/transgenics, pharmacology, and anxiety and depression (both myself and the research subjects) thrown in. For my postdoc research, I focused on addiction. My main question was what causes one person (or mouse, in this case) to try cocaine and walk away while another becomes addicted to it. We made some strides, but it's still a wide-open question. After my postdoc, I left academia for the non-profit sector. I'm currently a scientific associate at a foundation in the city, managing big neuroscience research projects.
